About the Purdue IISE Board
Purdue IISE has over 250 members and is one of the largest IISE chapters in the nation. From professional development workshops to networking opportunities, we host a wide variety events every semester. As a board member, you will be able to contribute your ideas and make an impact on the Purdue community!

The President, Vice President of Internal Affairs, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of External Relations of IISE are elected annually. They lead the board through their commitment to Purdue Industrial Engineering and IISE.

The Senior Advisory Council is made up of dedicated seniors who have invested significant time in IISE while at Purdue. Their job is to educate new members of the club and provide wisdom whenever needed.
The Professional Development board plans and conducts workshops for Industrial Engineering students at Purdue. They also organize certification courses like Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt through the IISE organization. As a board, they are focused on the professional growth of all IE students for their careers here and beyond.
The Mentorship Committee promotes networking and advising throughout Purdue IISE. Members manage the BiggIE/SmallIE program with current IISE board members, the Two-Way mentoring program with alumni, and the FreshIE program with First Year Engineering students. The committee focuses on creating a community within IISE and IE.
The Public Relations and Marketing Committee creates engaging promotional content for all IISE events to reach and inform current & prospective members. Members also create monthly newsletters to highlight work done across all committees and design IE merchandise.
The Industry Relations Committee serves the bridge between Purdue IISE and the professional world, building the company and alumni relationships that create opportunities for our members and all IE students. Responsibilities include organizing IE-specific career fairs, company info sessions, plant tours, case competitions, and alumni engagement events. Additionally, members maintain databases for both company and alumni contacts.
The Community Engagement Committee provides opportunities for IISE members to get involved in the Purdue community. Members organize outward facing events like Pie an IE, All Member Meetings, and philanthropic events. They also plan internal activities like volunteer outings, plant tours, and guest speakers. On occasion members will work with other committees to bring joint events to reach wider audiences.
The Events Committee focuses on cultivating a sense of community among IISE members. The committee organizes retreats for Board members and social events for all Purdue IISE members. They are also in charge of intramurals.
The Ambassadors Committee represents Purdues' Industrial Engineering program to prospective students and their families. Events they manage include Fall Preview days, visit days, and First Year Engineering presentations. Members also create engaging events, such as FoodIE Fridays, that introduce students to Industrial Engineering and connect them with the IE community. Throughout the school year they provide guidance and answer questions about the major, classes, internships, and career paths in Industrial Engineering.
