The Purdue IISE Chapter has over 250 members and is highly involved in the Purdue community. We participate in community service and on-campus events, and we host social and professional events for our members, alumni, and faculty.

About Us

The President, Vice President of Internal Affairs, Vice President of Finance, and Vice President of External Relations of IISE are elected annually. They lead the board through their commitment to Purdue Industrial Engineering and IISE.

Directors lead their respective committees to leave an impact on Purdue IE.

Members of the Ambassadors Committee act as the face of Purdue Industrial Engineering, interacting with students, parents, and alumni of the School of Industrial Engineering. They represent IE to potential students at Fall Preview Days and Visit Days. Ambassadors share their love for IE through presentations and events for First Year Engineers to generate excitement for IE.

The Professional Development Committee aids in the professional growth of all Purdue IE students. Committee members plan and deliver workshops and organize the Six Sigma and Lean Green Belt Certification Weekends to best prepare Purdue IEs for their careers after graduation.

The Mentorship Committee promotes networking and advising throughout Purdue IISE. Members manage the BiggIE/SmallIE program with current IISE members, the 2-Way mentorship program with alumni, and the Senior Advisory Council.

The Public Relations Committee publicizes IISE events, gets general members involved, and keeps alumni and faculty updated on current IISE events. Committee members run social media accounts and take pictures and videos at events.

The Events Committee focuses on cultivating a sense of community among IISE members. Committee members organize retreats for Board members and social events for all Purdue IISE members.

The Community Engagement Committee provides opportunities for IISE members to get involved in the Purdue community. Committee members organize volunteering and philanthropy events and lead the club's efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels.

The Industry Relations Committee fosters relationships with our industry partners and provides opportunities for club members to meet and interact with companies. Committee members organize the Fall and Spring SIGMA Career Fairs and facilitate the Industry Sponsor Program with the School of IE.

The Branding Committee maintains and improves the IISE brand at Purdue. Committee members design and produce merchandise for IISE members and the school of IE and maintain the IISE website.

The Conference Committee plans and organizes the annual Great Lakes IISE conference that will be held at Purdue during the Fall 2024 semester.
